The Hook Bay 2 (2510J) occurrence is located at an elevation of approximately 400 metres on a south-facing slope, north of Cook Creek and approximately 2.2 kilometres northwest of Hook Bay.

The area is underlain by Upper Triassic Karmutsen Formation (Vancouver Group) basalts, in association with underlying granodiorites of the Lower Jurassic Island Plutonic Suite.

Locally, massive sulphides (pyrite-pyrrhotite-chalcopyrite) are hosted within three 0.20- to 0.40-metre, highly sheared, sub-vertical, quartz-carbonate veins striking approximately 350 degrees.

In 2014, a rock sample (1615108) assayed 0.89 per cent copper (Assessment Report 34542).

In 2020, rock samples 3294560, 3294564 and 3294559 assayed 2.12, 5.53 and 7.41 per cent copper, respectively, 1.6 to 4.6 grams per tonne silver and 0.220 to 0.470 gram per tonne gold (van der Meer, L.
